What Type of Referral Should I Ask For?

End Client

The end client is the person or company that you are looking to actually buy your services. If you are a physiotherapist you may be asking for referrals for people who complain about sporting injuries or bad backs.
The end client referrals are usually one-off connections (although they can be great life time clients).

Referral Partner

The referral partner is another business that has the same clients as you do, but they provide a different service or product than you do.
The referral partner is a terrific source of ONGOING referrals. Ideally you should try and be connected with as many referral partners as you can.
The key to a valuable referral partnership is to provide the same OR MORE value than what they are providing you.
If you want to build your strategic partnerships, I have recorded a special training session to work you through identifying and developing strategic partnerships in your business.

Networking is More Fun with Your Friends! And You Can Network for FREE!

How do you invite people?

There are a few ways we suggest:
1.Phone them and invite them along,
2.Email them and invite them along,
3.Tag them on Facebook – this is especially great if there is a Member xCite Presentation that you think they would benefit from,
4.When a member does a referral request in their 40-second presentation, you can invite this person along to meet them.

Who can you invite?

Of course, we are not xclusive, so you can invite anyone that wants to grow their business.
Think about some people you know who are in business for themselves. Write down 5 people that you may like to invite:
1.______________________________________________________
2.______________________________________________________
3.______________________________________________________
4.______________________________________________________
5.______________________________________________________

With these 5 people, we suggest sending them an email with the following sample script:

Hi [Name],
How are you?
You may remember me mentioning that I just joined BxNetworking [Group]. I am really enjoying it and I am already seeing the benefits to my business.

Anyway, I was thinking about you and thought you may like to come along for a meeting and check it out. You don’t have to be a member to come to a meeting, and I would be happy to book you in. The next meeting is on [date], but if you can’t make that one, they are fortnightly.
I would love for you to come along to a meeting with me and know you would meet some other great business owners, as well as get a few referrals as well! The breakfast is great as the venue is a café and you can choose the breakfast you want...not to mention a good coffee as well!
Anyway, let me know and I can book you in.

Regards,

Now think of another 5 people that you already do business with:
1.______________________________________________________
2.______________________________________________________
3.______________________________________________________
4.______________________________________________________
5.______________________________________________________

These people are ideal to invite as you would ideally like to introduce them to other members as people you do business with. You can them give them a wrap in the testimonials section of the agenda and they are a sure bet to pick up some new clients from the room and from referrals.

Hi [Name],

How are you?

You may remember me mentioning that I just joined BxNetworking [Group]. I am really enjoying it and I am already seeing the benefits to my business.

Anyway, I was thinking about you and everything you do for my business and thought you may like to come along for a meeting and check it out. You don’t have to be a member to come to a meeting, and I would be happy to book you in. The next meeting is on [date], but if you can’t make that meeting, they are every fortnight. At the next meeting, there is a great presentation being done by one of the members on [insert title here from Facebook post].

I would love for you to come along to a meeting with me, so I can share with the members what a great job you do for me. You would also meet some other great business owners, as well as get a few referrals! The breakfast is great as the venue is a café and you can choose the breakfast you want...not to mention a good coffee as well!

Anyway, let me know and I can book you in.

Regards,
